Most sod farms use a mixture of seed that uses expensive varieties, but
cheapen the cost by throwing in lesser seed. Using Jacklin Seed Co.'s
Five Steps Above program, Central Turf Farms offers the best Kentucky
Bluegrass mixture on the market. Tested on 30'x30' test plots,
Central Turf Farms selected only the strongest varieties to produce a
beautiful dark green carpet of strong, disease resistant turf. We now
have ready a special mixture of Midnight, Total Eclipse, Absolute and
NuGlade or Rugby II Kentucky Bluegrasses grown for lawn areas of both
expensive and affordable sites.
Jacklin
Seed Co. developed their Five Steps Above program to create Kentucky
Bluegrasses that held a very dark color primarily

| for golf courses.
The golf courses demand grass that is dark green, needs less fertilizer and
can take short mowing. Central Turf Farms tested most
of their advanced seeds to use only the best of the best. Midnight
Kentucky Bluegrass has been the industry standard for the darkest green
grass for over ten years. Total Eclipse is Jacklin's premium Kentucky
Bluegrass for short mowing height and shade tolerance. Absolute and
NuGlade or Rugby II are the darkest green of Jacklin's best varieties. |

This blend offers a lower growing plant with a wide blade of grass creating
a thick carpet early in the plant's life cycle. Most blends have
thin, upright grass needing more time to grow, more fertilizer to keep the
same dark green and can not take a short mowing. Less fertilizer
translates to less mowing and less thatch. In dormant test plots the
grass turns a bluish-green rather than pale brown. Our grass is a
young hungry blend that starts projects as a thick, tough carpet beautiful
to see and use. |

This hybrid blend is grown on both peat and mineral soil. For
